Dr. Santosh Pathare is an accomplished academician and filmmaker holding a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry, along with degrees in Journalism and Mass Communication and an M.A. in Marathi Literature from the University of Mumbai. His multidisciplinary background allows him to approach cinema through both critical and creative perspectives. An active member of the Film Federation of India (Western Region) and Secretary of Prabhat Chitra Mandal, Dr. Pathare is also a respected film critic and editor of Vastav Roopwani. His creative work includes documentaries such as The Tale of Natives, Maru Jivan Ej Mari Vaani, In Search of Rituparno, and Pappa Sanga Kunache, along with the short film Kolahal. He made his directorial debut with Sumitra Bhave – Ek Samantar Prawaas and directed the series Tambi Durai, based on the writings of Marathi author Shri Shrikant Bojewar.
